CivicBinder builds boards' accessibility policies for the right board

If you hand a village clerk a policy addressed to the wrong board, they know it before they finish the first line.

CivicBinder gets a public entity ready for the April 2027 and April 2028 accessibility deadlines: we scan the site, inventory the documents, and print a binder holding a policy their own board can adopt by resolution. Which means the binder has to name that board correctly.

A housing authority is a Board of Commissioners just about everywhere. A village is a Board of Trustees in New York, Illinois and Wisconsin, and a Village Council in Ohio and Michigan. Same word on the sign, different body in the statute.

So we do not derive it for those. Towns, townships, counties, parishes and villages all fall back to the neutral words governing body, and we confirm the real name with the entity before the binder goes out.
