REPO WRITE BECOMES SHELL ACCESS

gitea.dev, Gitea: Remote Code Execution via diffpatch Git Hook Installation

Gitea CVE-2026-60004 lets someone with ordinary repository write access execute shell commands as your Gitea OS user. The diffpatch endpoint applies repository-controlled content in a shared bare temporary repository, where that content can install and execute a Git hook; with default open registration, a visitor can create the repository needed to reach the path.
